Quite how keen 6'6 Los Angeles drag queen Vaginal Davis really is on having sex with a woman remains unclear, though by keeping her options at least potentially open she's given David 'Technova' Harrow a fantastically catchy hookline for his new single I Could Have Sex.
An chatting to Skrufff recently, the LA scene queen even raised question marks over having sex with a man, complaining 'I hate men wearing make-up. If you're a masculine man just take comfort in that, and don't try to latch on to some affectation."
Sex issues aside, though, I Could Have Sex is a gloriously camp, fabulously fey electroclash-style club tune that's already striking chords with DJs like Princess Superstar, Mark Moore and Nathan Gregory Wilkins
Though he's now exiled in LA, electro pioneer David Harrow clearly remains a London boy at heart and with Vag admitting that she pinched her lyrics after eaves-dropping on Turkish drag queens in Soho's Old Compton Street, it's no surprise that I Could Have Sex feels distinctly British. Or as Strangler Jean Jacques Burnell once put it 'did someway say wanker?'
