They are Nicholas Fromageau and Anthony Gonzalez, based in the South Of France and America is a 30 minute 4 track EP of truly exceptional quality. While title track America is an up tempo rock out electro instrumental, it's on ambient soundscapes Tsubasa and Dead Cities where they really cut lose and showcase their talent.

Tsubasa is a sinister, spooky, deeply melancholic slice of music, as dark as any string soaked epic yet to emerge from Detroit, which merges into the most conventional track on the album God Of Thunder, an italo-disco styled minor key song with echoes of John Carpenter and Jean Michel Jarre during their 70s defining creative peaks.

Saving the best until last, the duo then unveil Dead Cities, an epic 17 minute saga of several distinct stages. Kicking off ambient and deceptively calm, it gradually builds through background noises and a church style organ, before suddenly breaking out into a beautiful crescendo of glorious strings and cacophonous keyboard loops.

Moving and magical, America is magnificent.
