Luis Vaquero is one of Spain's leading chill-out/ electronica producers and radio presenters, though for this project, his second album of downtempo, electronic ambient music, he's returned to his alias of Luis Junior.
Billed as an 'avant-garde chill-out project', his latest collection of 13 (unmixed) tracks is initially distinguished by its multinational cast of singers (performing in different languages) though what really sets it apart, is it's music. Moving, emotional and subtly uplifting, the music sweeps and soars via strings, dub beats and melancholic melodies, sweetly evoking images of sunsets in Ibiza or late nights after the party's drawn to a close.
Appropriately, Ibiza's best known chill-out spot Café Del Mar have lent their endorsement (and distribution system) to the album, adding their seal of approval to an album that easy listening yet packed with substance.
