While Clear This is unlikely to irrevocably change Dino Lenny's life, it's highly likely to earn him some plaudits as well as cash, being a chunky, funky, even trancey slice of new acid house that's accessible, catchy and fun.
The lead track (Clear This) features the same distinctive female vocal from his other current smash record/outfit Bucci Bag (the two samples were originally recorded together) though on this track a male sample asking 'Is It Acid' supplies the memorably catchy hook.
Clear This first popped up on Steve Lawler's Lights Out compilation towards the end of last year and is now gaining support from the likes of four/ four house heads Deep Dish and Satoshi Tomiie, though could equally work alongside the electro-house favoured by the likes of Ivan Smagghe (Black Strobe) and Mark Moore (if he actually had a copy, Mark tells us.)
Clear This/ Can U Clear It is out on April 26.
