Like many of the best club tunes Helicopter Jackson's debut single The Booty Song works best pounding out of a massive sound system over a euphoric dance floor, though the funky electro stomper is also energetic and catchy enough to light up any good home or car system.
Already popping up like a rash over London's better electro dance floors, the track also has enough originality to find favour with house and breaks DJs and has definite potential for crossover success.
Though The Booty Song is Helicopter's formal debut release, he's already cut his production teeth writing on tracks for both Kylie and Sugababes, and his pop sensibilities are clearly both developed and finely tuned.
Out on September 15, The Booty Song is a high energy new disco tune with equally catchy and effervescent lyrics ('I like the way you shake you tushy, come and shake it close to me'). File under floor filler.
