Ever since Madonna snapped him up to musically direct her recent worldwide Drowned tour, Reading born producer Stuart Price, aka Jacques Lu Cont, has been one to watch, and Grey Day, his fantastic new single, shows why. Because Lu Cont, (or whatever you call him) has marched onto the incredibly fertile territory first staked out by Daft Punk- and more importantly, made it is own.

Punchy, catchy, original yet poppy, Grey Day's single version goes for the radio friendly, crossover groove, while the Paper Faces remix blasts into overdrive, delivering megatons of energy, in simple though sublime floor filling effect.

Some qualification is needed at this point, since as Zoot Woman Price is joined by his brother Adam and Jonny Blake though it's Stuart's distinctive 80s inflected disco-pop sensibilities that shine through on both mixes. Like Zoot Woman's fantastic 2001 debut hit Living In a Magazine, Grey Day is a no brainer must-have monster hit for any house and electro DJs worth their salt. Absolutely Vital.
