With 'mas-up' bootlegs increasingly dominating dancefloors around the world, Slip b Slide's decision to stick out 14 vocal accapellas on vinyl in a fantasticly timely move that's certain to revitalise their highly rated back catalogue. Because the vocal tracks here, ranging from Ursula Rucker's Supernatural to D'Lacy's seminal house hit Hideaway will transform every bedroom DJ with any instrumental tracks, into the next Richard X, with minimal technique and effort.
Superstar DJs have long understood the power of a casually dropped accapella over an unexpected musical track and household names reportedly already using this new slice of vinyl include Alan Thompson, Terry Farley and Graham Park.
The best tracks for extended mixing here include Kings Of Tomorrow's 10 Minute High (which worked well with Paul Jackson's The Push) and MBG featuring DR Felix's Take A Walk On The House Side, which segues superbly with Tiga's upcoming soon to be massive hit Hot In Herre (specifically the original Dub mix, the bpms are identical!) Blaze's Sacred Sex message works superbly as an uplifting narrativ over any drum heavy bass track while Hideaway is trickier to match, though fantastic when locked down.
Slip n Slide Accapellas is an essential purchase for any and every DJ though useless for anyone who doesn't own two decks.
