Deceptively simple yet instantly engaging, Test Pilot appears as an add-on track to Jamez` new single "People Will Believe" though is a vastly superior production to the EP's principal track. Consisting of a simple filtered loop that builds and builds through layer upon layer, the track is reminiscent of Daft Punk during their definitive acid house days of 1996, and positively drips with toe-tapping funkiness and dance floor filling energy and immediacy.
Jamez (who hails from Holland and has a distinguished production past in hard trance) has clearly discovered some secret magic ingredient that he's sprinkled liberally over a track whose logical and predictable pattern should by rights have rendered it dull.
People Will Believe/ Test Pilot is out on Future Groove in March and precedes Jamez' artist album Dreamchasing.
