Melodic, tuneful and (naturally) thumping, Bryan Zentz?s new single D-Clash is the latest superior techno anthem to emerge from Carl Cox?s ultra-credible label Intec Records. Showcasing Zentz? new artist album coming out on the same label shortly, it?s an anthemic kind of track, built around a classic 80s sounding keyboard riff that wouldn?t sound out of place on an Inner City record, circa their Big Fun record. However, it?s also contemporary, fitting seamlessly into the melodic though high-powered techno that remains Carl Cox? stock-in-trade.

On the flipside, Scotland?s greatest tech heads, Soma Records? mighty Slam boys rework the track, lopping off some of the original?s exuberance to leave tightly delivered DJ friendly loops and grooves with a distinct overall Detroit style flavour. Clearly aimed directly at the dance floor, D clash is out on February 3 on Intec Records.
