In recent months a new DJ supersite, Trustthedj.com, has provided an internet home for a selection of DJ superstars across varying genres.
Misstress Barbara is one of those DJ's, although not a household name in the UK or in Australia, but a techno superstar in her home of North America.
As an addition to the website, TrusttheDJ have also released a series of compilations from each of their superstar stable. Misstress Barbara's first release, MB01, is a selection of hard hitting but minimal techno. The Misstress provides a collection of funky techno interspersed with a couple of (techno) anthems that ensures pure listening fun. Standout tracks include the opening 'Rippin and Dippin' from Mr Spliff and 'Voyager' from Percy X and Funk D'void. The mix also includes a number of tracks from MB's own Relentless label, and adds to Canada's techno reputation built by the likes of Richie Hawtin.
