Earthcore have been putting on successful outdoor dance parties in Melbourne for many a year but this is their first foray into the ultra competitive game of dance mix CD's. On disc one Ben Abrahams is on the decks pushing the deep progressive house sound that he plays at both the Earthcore events and their club night Freebase. This disc is undeniably dark in sound delving back and forth from breaks to house music, but it never lets up the wicked groove that keeps you on the floor dancing. Disc two is more the sound of Earthcore at peak time. Scott Alien fell in love with the acid touched techno that he now plays at a Bamboo Forest party in Goa in 1991. Expect pounding beats, relentless bass, and very few breakdowns for dancing relief. Both CD's have a funny link to gonzo journalist Hunter S Thompson in that his classic novel Fear
