As the weekend draws near, for those that search for something to entertain and inspire, there is always something to be found.

If bright lights and fluro colours are your thing, then this Friday night at Syrup catch two of the nations brightest stars of the Hard Dance scene as Pickle vs Pitch Black presents: MASIF vs PHD with Steve Hill and Soul-T. Shenanigans kick off from 11pm at Syrup with tickets a measly $15 on the door.

For those seeking a more refined, but no less intense experience, then maybe the beats and rhymes of Hermitude and Horrorshow at The Brisbane Hotel may be more your thing. Touring as part of the Threadbare tour catch these fine aussie crews Saturday night. Tickets are $15 presale or $0 on the door.

While technically not the weekend, this coming Monday and Tuesday night catch a range of local uni bands strut their stuff on the stage at Curly's Bar. First band is on from 7.30 with entry by gold coin donation.
