This Friday night November 15 will see Russia's queen of breaks, Lady Waks, make her Hobart debut at Halo.

Lady Waks is a DJ, Producer, Promoter, Artist, Designer and all round modern media phenomenon that exploded on the international scene in 2005. Since 1999 Lady Waks has been pushing breakbeat sounds through the various club nights, parties & festivals that she organises across mother Russia.

As a DJ, Waks has played the world over and holds a residency at The Tunnel in St. Petersburg. In 2006, she was recruited by Westbam and Hardy Hard to join their Electric Kingdom Tour after the enormously successful launch of her debut titled "Listen" and has not stopped since, playing at the Winter Music Conference in Miami as well as clubs in Germany, Brazil, London and Australia. All culminating in her debut at the 2008 International Breakspoll Awards earlier this year where she found herself nominated for Best Breakthrough DJ!
