The 2003 Hobart Fringe Festival Night Market in Criterion Street and Mathers Lane is on this Wednesday night from 7pm till Midnight. The market will feature stalls, art and theatre to promote a positive experience in the inner city at night.

"The Night Market gives local artists, musicians and business owners exposure in an event that accepts diversity, ingenuity and things that are a little out of the ordinary," coordinator Freya Sant said.

Stalls will sell a variety of goods including food, lanterns, comics, jewellery, locally designed clothes, tropical plants and second hand goods. There will be in store window theatre at Urban Prowler and a main stage with original bands Mutiny (from Melbourne), Decomposer, Frog in a Pot and Sex Drive.

Wander down to the Night Market in Hobart's inner city, and keep an eye out for the unexpected.
