Spit Syndicate join Cypress Hill Oz tour
Since bursting onto the local music scene in 2007, ARIA nominated duo Spit Syndicate have established themselves as one of the country’s most exciting new hip-hop groups. Hailing from Sydney’s Inner West, rappers Nick Lupi and Jimmy Nice have steadily developed an electric buzz and loyal following across the country.
In September, they will join legendary USA collective Cypress Hill on their Australian tour.
Spit Syndicate caught the attention of the local hip-hop scene off the back of several guest appearances and a number of widely circulated, but now extremely rare, mixtapes. After signing with hip-hop powerhouse Obese Records, Spit Syndicate released their debut LP ‘Towards The Light’ in June 2008, an album which spurred two national tours and earned the pair an ARIA nomination.
Spit Syndicate are renowned for blending sharp lyrical skills, vivid storytelling, slamming beats and soulful groove at a level which belies their young ages. Joining the Double S on stage is the larger-than-life DJ Joyride, the group have earned nation-wide notoriety for their dynamic, high-energy live show.
Spit Syndicate will be touring nationally with Cypress Hill in September and October.
